I always exit game from in-game quit button and always in full screen. Leave the game full screen and close via the in game shut down method and it'll start full screen next time.ĮDIT just tested this and found it to be correct, exiting the game, in almost any other way than the in-game QUIT option results in it starting in windowed mode, it also appears that ALT+ENTER doesn't always work when the game is in the process of loading so you press ALT+ENTER and nothing happens, press it again and still nothing happens BUT, the game hags a few times during the loading screens so just try pressing it once and WAIT. This also applies if you CTRL+ALT+DEL and close the game. Every other game I have tried has worked perfectly. The game seems to launch in windowed mode if it was in windowed mode when you shut it down. Of course, if it is mandatory and no other way helps, I'll then go through that in hopes it will work.Īlso, this problem doesn't occur with any other game than Battlefield 1. ![]() Though I can do a clean install of the previous version from the link you provided, I would like to not have to go through it. Neither have any other internet provided fixes worked that I could find on the issue on Google. I also scoured the internet for similar issues and I found one on BF1, which was fixed by adjusting the settings manually which didn't work for me, and one for Sims 4 and nothing from those fixes worked either. ![]() I do acknowledge, that I can't verify it to a 100% because I can't rollback, but I do think that I have done extensively everything else possible so far. To that end, I am quite certain that I have exhausted all other possibilities that I can think of, with drivers, reinstalls, adjusting and checking settings etc, as nothing else changed between two play times than what the update brought on. Therefore I was only able to try Fresh Start, but that comes with the problem of updating Windows automatically to the Creator's Update before me being able to even access Windows. So I clicked on the info and it gave pretty much as the biggest (8gb) worth of files as "Old Windows" and I made the mistake of choosing that to free up the space. Unfortunately I am unable to roll back the update, as after the update Windows said that space was running low on C:/ drive which in fact it wasn't, and I should have checked it before doing anything. I can not provide a screenshot as the error message is on the monitor and not in the game or in the screenshot space in a way. The only thing I have noticed, is that in BF1 settings (in-game) the max refresh rate is 59.94 as it has always been - and in the settings files it is set to "59.939999" but if I manually change it to "59.999999" the problem goes away - until I edit any value in the in-game video settings (even others than refresh rate), when the game refresh video settings and the problem comes back. My displays have not changed in any way and both are set to 60hz refresh rate. I have also disabled all display drivers and reinstalled everything, and this happens with both of my monitors, no matter if I change BF1 to run on either. To fix this issue, I have reinstalled my GPU drivers (NVidia) just in case (twice), I have deleted all BF1 setting files and disabled cloud storage from Origin so it would not download the settings files from there in case they were at fault, redownloaded and installed BF1 and also reset my Windows 10 (with the Fresh Start option). ![]() No settings have been changed by me, nothing else has changed but the Windows Update. I am having an issue where when I start Battlefield 1 after updating to Windows 10 Fall Creator's Update and I get this error message and the game is really blurry and sort of rippling or vibrating.
